The ZAGGmate was only designed to work with the 1st generation iPad. Because the outer dimensions of each iPad version are different from one another, the iPad 3/4 will not fit securely into the ZAGGmate. While the ZAGGmate does work with most Bluetooth® devices, we do not recommend using it with your iPad 3. The Logitech Keyboard Case by ZAGG was designed to work with the iPad 3

The Logitech Keyboard Case by ZAGG for iPad 3/4 will only pair to one device at a time to prevent the Logitech Keyboard Case by ZAGG from inadvertently controlling 2 or more devices at once. However, the pairing process is so simple, switching from one iPad 3/4 to any other Bluetooth capable device is very quick.
What do the lights mean on the Logitech Keyboard Case by ZAGG for iPad 3/4?
Charging light (blue): Turns on when charging, turns off when fully charged.
Status light (red):
Flashes when battery is low (approximately 20% is remaining. This should give you 2-4 days to recharge)
Flashes when pairing
Lights briefly when you turn on the Logitech Keyboard Case by ZAGG, then turns off to save battery.
