Is the ZAGGmate and the Logitech Keyboard Case by ZAGG the same thing?

They are very similar, but not the same. The ZAGGmate is specific to the 1st generation Apple iPad. The Logitech Keyboard Case by ZAGG is specific to the Apple iPad 2.

Will my original ZAGGmate work with the iPad 2?

The original ZAGGmate was only designed to work with the original iPad. Because the outer dimensions of each iPad version are different from one another, the iPad 2 will not fit securely into the original ZAGGmate. While the ZAGGmate does work with most Bluetooth® devices, we do not recommend using it with your iPad 2.

We do recommend using the Logitech Keyboard Case by ZAGG with your iPad 2.

What should I do with my original ZAGGmate if I get an iPad 2?

We recommend keeping your original ZAGGmate with the original iPad.

Do I have to pair my ZAGGmate iPad Case to my iPad every time I want to use it?

No, just the first time.

Can I pair my ZAGGmate iPad Case to more than one iPad?

The ZAGGmate iPad Case will only pair to one device at a time to prevent the ZAGGmate iPad Case from inadvertently controlling 2 or more devices at once. However, the pairing process is so simple, switching from one iPad or any other Bluetooth capable device is very quick.

What do the lights mean on the ZAGGmate iPad Case keyboard?

Charging light: Turns on when charging, turns off when fully charged.

Status light: Flashes when the battery is low (about 20% capacity), when pairing, and lights briefly when you turn on ZAGGmate iPad Case then turns off to save battery.

What do the top row of keys do on the keyboard?

The integrated function keys allow you to quickly and easily perform the following functions: Home button, Search, Slide Show, Show and Hide iPad keyboard, ON/OFF, Previous Track, Next Track, Play/Pause music, Volume up/down/mute, and international keyboard selection if you have enabled it in the iPad menu.

How often does the ZAGGmate iPad Case keyboard need to be charged?

ZAGGmate iPad Case's long-life battery can stay charged for several weeks of normal use between charges. When not in use, turn off the keyboard to lengthen battery life. ZAGGmate iPad Case will go into sleep mode if left on and not being used; press a key and wait 2-3 seconds to bring it out of sleep mode.

How do you charge the ZAGGmate iPad Case keyboard?

Included with your ZAGGmate iPad Case is a micro USB cable. You can plug this into a standard USB charger such as your iPad charger or a computer USB port.

Can I get an invisibleSHIELD, ZAGGskin, LEATHERskin, or sportLEATHER for my ZAGGmate iPad Case?

Absolutely! In fact, we recommend it.
