Her hit song “Call Me Maybe” went viral overnight and inspired businessmen, bred lip-dubs and parodies galore, and reached the depths of popular culture. Since Carly is able to break the ice with quite possibly the best pick up line of all time, here are a few apps she should use to help her plan her night out when that hottie calls back:

Can’t pick a place to go or decide what to do? The folks at UrbanDaddy have created an easy way to figure out where to take that special someone. Once you select a time, date, location, who you’re with and what’s the mood, the app works its magic and spits out the perfect spots to visit. Available on the iPhone and Android devices.

3. Thrillist
Feel like you know a city like the back of your hand? Thrillist helps you find new gems everyday by showcasing new restaurants, bars, shops, and events in 18 cities across the US and UK. Each location has pictures and a quick blurb written by the folks at Thrillist to help you get a feel of the unknown. Want to add some fun and spontaneity to a date? The app uses GPS to find recommendations nearby so finding the next stop is quick and easy. Available on iOS and Android devices.

4. Thrilllist Rewards
Thrillist Rewards takes deal apps to the extreme and offers truly unique experiences at a fraction of the cost. Impress your date with access to a ritzy rooftop party or get adventurous with a laser-tag battle on city streets. Although the app currently caters to Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco, the team hopes to expand to other cities soon. Available on the iPhone and Android devices.

5. Sonar
So a date didn’t pan out so well…. No biggy! Sonar helps you connect with awesome new people nearby. The app utilizes social and location data to help introduce you to people with similar interests. If you’re at an art museum and see someone cute with similar tastes, you can instantly send a message with a quick hello or be daring and say, “You share my interests, and this is crazy, but you’re right by me, so chat me maybe!” Carly would definitely approve.
