YouTube is filled all kinds of content, from documentaries to comedy sketches and more, making the massive platform seem overwhelming for people searching for specific content. Eight years of content is uploaded to the video streaming site daily, making this issue even more complicated. Thankfully for sketch comedy lovers out there, I’ve been able to round up 5 YouTube channels that should satisfy any laughing crave.
Epic Meal Time: This cooking parody channel takes food challenges to the extreme with unusually high-calorie meals, generally made from meat products. The language used on this channel is often bleeped out with bird squaks and there is a specific emphasis made on using Jack Daniels and bacon in many of the recipes. Please do not try making these recipes at home!
UCB Comedy: Well known comedians and writers of the Upright Citizens Brigade have gone on to work for Saturday Night Live, The Office and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. This channel’s content falls into a similar category of humor.
Barely Political: The guys from Barely Political are known for their hilarious sketches from “The Key of Awesome” series to Obama Girl. If you like parody songs and spoofs on boy bands, I recommend this channel.
The Second City Network: Famous alumni include John Belushi, Bill Murray, John Candy and Tina Fey. This channel features sketches from current improv groups and include a few popular series.
Funny or Die: This channel is filled with many hilarious acts such as “Between Two Ferns,” “Billy on the Street” and “Drunk History.” The site is founded by comedic geniuses Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, so if you like Anchorman, you will definitely find this funny.
