By now you’ve likely heard of Google Glasses, but if you haven’t, here’s a quick rundown of what they are. These futuristic-looking and wearable eyeglasses will enable you to see things the way Google would have you see things. In other words, the glasses can take pictures and video, they enable you to look at your schedule for the day, check the weather, etc. Basically things that a smartphone already does. The difference is that this information is projected on to your field of vision in a very SciFi/augmented reality sort of way.
When Google first announced this project, the internet exploded with praise, criticism, and curiosity. Now a couple months later, we have the first video taken with Google Glasses. The video is of someone doing backflips on a trampoline.
Personally I don’t think the video is anything to brag about. It looks like standard video taken with a nice smartphone. I guess what this video proves is that it will take a lot to knock the glasses off of your face. Even backflips can’t dislodge them.
Are you excited for these glasses or do you not want to look like a cyborg? Is Google taking the term “Android” too literally? Shout out below.
