Addictive App Review: Temple Run

What drives you to want the latest gadgets? They can be used for many different purposes like typing this post, media, and much more. Many people are now use them as the next game console. Recently I heard about a game called Tmeple Run. I found it in the top free charts on the iPad so I thought I would take a look.

After downloading the app the game loads and gets you playing in a matter of moments. The first time you play it runs you through a series of events to teach you to to play. Using simple swipe controls to navigate the runner, it was easy to pick up on how it works. Swipe up to jump, swipe left or right to turn, swipe down to slide, and tilt the iPad to collect the tokens to the left or the right.

In the game you are being chased by insteresting looking monkeys and need to collect coins and run as far as you can on the temple. The first time I played I only lasted for a couple hundred meters. Each run is quick and gets more advance the further you go. Each time I get further and fall off I think it that the game was to short then I will try again to beat my score. After an hour passes I realized the game is more addictive than I thought.

It is really nice that there is a very small amount of load time and you can restart a game with just a click of a button instead of going through a bunch of menus. The only thing I need to figure out is how to get the same amount of energy that guy in the game has. As you get more coins you can upgrade power ups and even unlock new characters. Get the game here.
