Amazon has long been reported to be working on a line of their own gadgets. Today, The Wall Street Journal, is reporting that Amazon is specifically working on two smartphones, one of which will have a 3D screen. The Journal cites multiple anonymous sources for their breaking news and says the advanced 3D smartphone will not require special glasses and may also include the ability to navigate the screen through eye movement. Amazon has previously been focused on their highly successful Kindle e-reader and tablets efforts. They are reportedly also building out devices for streaming music and a set-top box.
No dates have been reported for release as of yet. The release of information through the Journal and other media outlets led to a 1.5% stock price increase by end of day as of publication.
