Google Voice has been around since 2009 offers users many features including voicemail, free text messaging, call history, conference calling, call screening, blocking of unwanted calls, and voice transcription to text of voicemail messages. It’s a very convenient tool for everyday use and can even be helpful when looking for a job.
One popular feature of Google Voice is the ability users have to block numbers from calling them. When a use r blocks a number, each time that number calls the person calling will hear the famous recording, “We’re sorry; you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service. If you feel you have reached this recording in error, please check the number and try your call again.” Play the YouTube video below to listen to the recording in action:
This is one of many features that make Google Voice a favorite among users. To set it up, find the ‘more’ button on the Voice Inbox (shown above) then click ‘Block caller.’ After that you confirm and the setting is enabled.
