Bump App makes it easy to send photos from your phone to your computer (via @jkohwland)

We all know about Bump. It’s an app that makes things easy to share. When it first launched it was all about sharing your contact information. Now Bump for both Android and iOS is updated to give it a bit more sharing power.

Sharing Simple and Fun

Bump doesn’t just make it easy to share, it’s kinda fun. Bump the phone in your hand with the had of another device and it sends over whatever you’ve selected to share.

We’ve all gotten used to how Bump can transfer images from one phone to another by simply bumping the two together, but Bump can also send photos to your computer instantly.

Computer sharing too

You don’t need to install anything on your computer.

Once the app is installed on your phone, you visit bu.mp in a web browser of your choice. In the app you’ll select the image you’d like to share, and then bump your phone against the spacebar on your keyboard. (You might want to flick your phone and press the spacebar at the same time to save your space key.)

The app will give you a popup to confirm that the image is what you want to send.

Impressive and fast

Finding a way to easily send files to the computer without even installing an app is impressive. The speed that it sends the files is also impressive. Once you get the app connected it’s basically instantaneous.
