I have a 3 year old that is scared of the dark. We’ve tried everything to teach her to relax and go to sleep on her own, ultimately ending up having to leave the hall light on outside of her bedroom door that we turn off before we go to bed. The problem? She often wakes up in the middle of the night and upon realizing it is dark again, cries out in a panic for us to turn the light back on. One of us then stumbles out of bed to flip on the hall light, causing us to rack up the energy bill and burn cash. Not ideal. Sure, we’ve tried the little lights that plug into an outlet, but that doesn’t seem to do it. Plus, the cartoon characters that usually adorn these night lights aren’t exactly our style.
This night-light though, the Glo Nightlight, not only looks modern and futuristic, but has an added twist. The colored balls can be removed and placed in dark corners wherever monsters might lurk and will glow for a full 30 minutes, changing colors as they slowly fade out. The balls can then be placed back in the base where they’ll charge and continue to emit light. The glowing balls are free of toxic chemicals and do not heat up, making them safe for children.
It’s a cool idea for parents that need a creative solution for keeping little ones’ fears at bay, while fitting in with more modern and tech-savvy decor.
