Diablo III is addicting, easily one of the most addicting games I’ve ever played. Smashing your way through hordes of zombies and demons will do that to you I suppose. Blizzard Entertainment has been developing Diablo III for years on end, and now that it’s finally out, I can happily say that it was worth the wait.
If you don’t know what Diablo III is, it’s an action RPG that carries on the story of Blizzard’s famous game franchise. Diablo III is a very hack n’ slash, visceral game with plenty of cool explosions, destruction, and lots of demon blood. In fact, if you’re a bit queezy, Diablo III might make you a little green around the gills.
You choose from a selection of 5 hero classes before beginning your journey through the hell-ravaged lands of Sanctuary. As you hack through hordes of demons, you gain experience as well as new powerful abilities and equipment. I personally chose the Barbarian class and just recently completed the story on Normal mode and am now in Nightmare mode (there are 4 modes of difficulty, Normal being the easiest and Inferno being the most difficult, but also having the best gear/equipment).
As you hack your way through, the storyline unfolds. I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline of the game, though not as much as I enjoyed the various boss fights. Some of the bosses in the game are just downright creepy, and the game is likely to make you jump a few times.
The game is nearly perfect. I say “nearly”, because if I had my druthers, the game would be a little more lengthy. The game was released on May 15th and by May 17th I had already beaten it. Yes I still have 3 more modes of difficulty to try, as well as other hero classes to test, but I still feel like the game went by too quickly. I want more story. Waiting years for a game and then basically “beating” it in 2 days makes me a little bit of a sad panda. But other than that little complaint, I absolutely love the game.
If you haven’t purchased Diablo III, I don’t think you can truly call yourself a gamer. Have you played it yet? Like it, love it, hate it? Sound off below!
