Ferevo, a Utah-based startup, has come out of the weeds with an Android texting app that actually rewards their users to text. What separates Ferevo from all the other texting services out there is they selectively embed extremely relevant links into their users text messages and then rewards their users with points based off interaction with those links. The points will be redeemable for cash and prizes through their website, ferevo.com.
Mike Evans, the founder, explained it a little more, “It means you get rewarded just for using your phone the way you normally do everyday,” he said. “The things you text about now aren’t just status updates or meeting arrangements to friends anymore, they’re solutions to everyday small problems.
This is how it might work: Let’s say that you’re texting your buddy about getting a bite to eat. Your friend asks, “Where?” and you reply saying, “Hmm… idk, how bout pizza?” Ferevo understands that the two of you are looking for a good pizza joint and might suggest Dominos inside of your text. So now, the text to your friend reads, “mmm… idk, how bout pizza? – Dominos deals – ferevo.com/di29d” When your friends click on the links, they get informed and you get rewarded.
Mike admits that the technology is not perfected yet. “We’re working hard to make sure that ONLY relevant links are embedded. That’s why we need all the feedback we can get at this point.” Ferevo has been live for about two weeks now and already has over 1000+ users giving them feedback and getting rewarded to just to text using the Ferevo app.
If you have an Android phone, check it out and win some awesome stuff. You can download it by searching “Ferevo” in Google Play.
