Finally, a solution for those who want a physical keyboard for the iPhone (by @TySpace)

The debate over whether the iPhone would be better off with a physical keyboard has raged since the introduction of the first iPhone more than four years ago, and has been as vigorous as debates such as cats vs. dogs, Coke vs. Pepsi, and Star Trek vs. Star Wars.

Some say the virtual, touch-screen keyboard that is standard on the iPhone is elegant, and works just fine for the device, while others have said that a physical, slideout-style keyboard is needed before the iPhone can be taken seriously as an enterprise-level productivity device.

It’s doubtful that an Apple-produced phone will ever have a slide-out keyboard or any other type of physical keyboard, but that doesn’t mean a case can’t be designed to fill the void, and that’s exactly what this Bluetooth pocket keyboard case for the iPhone 4 and 4S does. This gadget is a polycarbonate case that fits onto iPhone 4-style devices and contains a slideout QWERTY keyboard that connects to the iPhone via Bluetooth. The gadget has its own battery and is charged with a micro USB cable. The case/keyboard combo is only available in black, as of right now.

The device is available for under $30, but reviews from those who have bought it are mixed. Reviews generally indicate that the keyboard works as well as you would expect it to, but there are multiple complaints about the quality and the durability of the build. If you must have a physical keyboard attached to your iPhone, however, this may be a good solution until another version of an iPhone keyboard comes out.
