The HTC One X5 poses for its first press photo

If this photo is to be believed, you’re looking at the first [unreleased] photo of an upcoming HTC device, supposedly to be called the HTC One X5. The ’5′ in the name of course refers to a 5-inch display, the rumors that just won’t die. It makes sense for HTC, considering their biggest rival, Samsung, has had great success with screen sizes in that range. The Galaxy S3 is 4.8″, the Note is 5″, and the Note 2 is 5.5″. HTC’s two largest phones (HTC One X and HTC Evo 4G LTE) both have 4.7″ displays.

HTC has an event scheduled in New York for Wednesday, so we’ll find out soon enough.
