Living in an apartment with no outside balcony makes it hard to grow some things. Being me makes it hard to grow most things. So naturally I was really excited when I stumbled across some neat tech related gardening tools to make things a little bit easier and more fun by removing some of the gardening guesswork. Here are two that I though were the most interesting:
1) EasyBloom – With EasyBloom, get the answers to your gardening woes. Simply stick the sensor stick into the dirt where you want to plant a plant or have planted a plant you think might need some help. The EasyBloom sensor automatically collects a wealth of information in regards to your garden; everything from temperature to amount of sunlight, fertilizer and water levels to humidity. Plug the EasyBloom into a USB cable to download the sensor’s findings to your computer and learn from the Plant Doctor. The Plant Doctor tells you what to fix if an existing plant isn’t doing well or pulls from a database to let you know which plants will work best in your garden. Learn more about the EasyBloom here.
2) USB Greenhouse – With USB Greenhouse, grow a plant straight from your
computer! Grow a plant at the office or at home with no need for direct sunlight. The USB Greenhouse uses a special light that stimulates growth while providing enough sun-like nutrients for the plant to grow normally. USB Greenhouse software sends reminders for when to water your plant and other care reminders. The only downside to the USB Greenhouse is that you have to leave your plant plugged into your computer for it to work. Learn more about USB Greenhouse here.
Do you have a green thumb? Would you use either of these products to help you grow plants by utilizing technology?
