Google’s new Schemer app lets you make devious plans on your iPhone or Android phone [with special invite codes]

Google’s devious goal-planning site, dubbed “Schemer,” just released a mobile app for iOS and Android devices.

Those of you already on Schemer will enjoy playing around with the app. It’s not as beautiful as the new Google+ app, but it does what you need it to. You can create, share, and comment on schemes.

The app also suggests schemes based on time of day. When I opened it, it said “Did you eat lunch yet? We’re starving!” and used nearby schemes to suggest a place to eat.

If you’re unfamiliar with Schemer, here’s a short review:

About Schemer

Schemer is a goal-setting website that Google made last year.

Last December, I wrote about Google Schemer. It’s on my list of Five great sites for goals & resolutions.

Since its release, Schemer has added some functionality. The service integrates more with Google+ and allows you to “Rally” other schemers together, which allows you to see what schemes you have in common with other schemers. You can also add pictures to schemes.

Private Beta

Schemer’s still in private beta, but guess what? We have invite codes, so you can scheme along with us. The number of invite codes is limited, so you better start scheming now to make sure you’ll get in.

Finding schemes

In addition to searching for schemes, you can browse through your Google+ circles for scheme ideas. If you want more ideas for things to do, check out my Schemer profile. I have 150+ schemes on my list, and I’d love to cook up some more schemes with you.
