This is the Huawei P6, the first flagship smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. Huawei announced it this morning, and said it would start shipping in China this month, with parts of Western Europe in July. There’s no word yet on U.S. availability, but it’d be a safe bet for those of you who prefer unlocked / unsubsidized phones that you’ll be able to get one fairly soon.
The P6 is just 6.18mm thin, compared to the iPhone 5′s 7.62mm frame and the Galaxy S4′s 7.87mm frame. Considering how thing those two phones are, this is considerably less. It also packs a 4.7-inch 720p display, an 8MP f/2.0 rear camera and a 5MP front camera that is “great for selfies” (yes, they said that). No word on price yet.
Huawei will ship the P6 with Android 4.2.2, the latest and greatest version from Mountain View. We’ll keep you posted on any further announcements.
