Ever missed a connection when traveling? What about a romantic connection? Maybe you felt a spark while chatting with the guy in the window seat on your way to that reunion last month. Or maybe you can’t stop thinking about that girl who shared her headphones with you on that cross-country redeye two weeks ago. The truth is, lots of people meet other people while traveling. But what do you do if you miss their name or have no idea how to find them again once you’re both back on the ground?
Will Skully-Power, a 31 year-old Australian had thoughts just like those mentioned above after meeting his now girlfriend on a flight to Sydney a year ago. So, he founded the WeMetOnAPlane.com, a website specifically designed to help others all of the world find that special someone they shared a connection with at 30,000+ feet.
Here’s how it works:
1) Look and see if the person you are trying to find has posted a “story” on the website by searching for your flight by date, flight number, destination, times, etc. The person you’re thinking about could be thinking about you too!
2) If you don’t see a story you recognize, write one! Include all the detail you can so that if your long-lost connection happens to search for you, they’ll be able to find you.
3) Directly broadcast your story through Facebook and Twitter for the chance to reach even more people or to enlist others to help you spread your news.
4) Wait and see! If someone comments on your post, WeMetOnAPlane.com will send you an email so you can check to see if the person you’ve been trying to find is reaching out back to you.
