Michael Phelps Needs to Get These 4 Apps

The Olympics are in full swing, and the athletes are on all of our minds. I can’t help but wonder what is on the minds of the athletes. Michael Phelps in particular has my attention. He’s done some amazing things in past Olympics and the London Olympics are no exception.

Phelps has more medals than any other Olympian in history. He’s finished with competitive racing. The man is retiring at 27. What kind of app can you recommend to a guy like that?

Here are a few that I thought might be fun:

1. Gold Price App

We all know that Michael Phelps has massive bling in his sock drawer (that’s where olympic medalists keep their medals).

He needs to keep track of the value of his investment. This is one of the best apps out there for tracking the prices of gold and silver (and there are a surprising number of them).

2. FatBooth

Michael Phelps will no longer be swimming competitively. That means he needs to watch his weight. You’ve seen what happens to guys like Hulk Hogan or Arnold Schwarzenegger as they get older and retire.

Phelps should use this app frequently to remind himself what will happen if he keeps eating 10,000 calories a day without the rigorous Olympic preparation routine. Plus this is just one of the most fun apps on the store.

3. iRetire

Michael Phelps is retiring at 27. How lucky would we all be to have that opportunity? Each gold medal only made him $25,000. However, his endorsements made about $5 million each year. He could probably live very well off the interest from that money if invested wisely.

Get out the iRetire app Michael… It shows you how much you have left, and how well you can keep on living.

4. Jordan’s Catalog

Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps – they each had a big impact on their sport.

Phelps is beached, so it’s only fitting that he gets himself some nice shoes for the dry-land. It doesn’t hurt that Phelps is a big fan of Michael Jordan.

With all his money he won’t just want any Air Jordan’s. He’ll want the latest and greatest. This is a great looking app that will give him just that.

Obviously these are mostly fun little apps. That’s what any good smartphone app is about, right? We just want simple little apps that do something cool, or make us laugh.
