If you’ve been following along with ZAGGblog for a bit now, you might have already seen the unboxing and hands-on video I did with the new Nexus 7 yesterday. Here’s one of several follow-up posts about it. This one looks specifically at apps and what they look like on the Nexus 7′s 1920 x 1200 HD display.
I find myself holding the new Nexus 7 the same way I do other tablets: in portrait orientation, even though the ‘Nexus’ logo on the back implies landscape.
I point these apps out because one thing Android tablets (read: apps) have always struggled with is utilizing the full amount of space they have on the larger screen devices. App developers have made some progress, and so has Android, but they could still do more too take advantage of all that space. Take a look at these examples of popular apps.
