Protection For The iPhone 5S And 5C Is Essential

The following is a Guest Post by Jesse Wojdylo.

Smartphone users throughout the world know how damaging it can be to drop an iPhone. Although the iPhone is very durable it cannot withstand all types of impact. From personal experience, I know that living without an iPhone, or any smartphone, can be a difficult task in today’s connected ecosystem. Someone my age, early 30s, feels lost when they do not have their phone to give them updates. I utilize my phone for Google+, Twitter, my Calendar, sports scores, driving directions and, get this, making telephone calls. If you take my smartphone out of my hand or pocket for more than 24 hours I go through withdrawal. Rather than having to go through this type of troubling time it might be best to get the proper protection for a brand new iPhone 5S or iPhone 5C.

Finding the Correct Case or Cover

ZAGG offers several options when it comes to cases and covers for the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. These products, that were announced on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013, are sure to be a hit as any Apple product launch brings about plenty of interest. Selling over 40 million new iPhones in a quarter is not out of the question for Apple. In fact, some Apple experts have predicted that the number of iPhones sold in the next several months could top any of the other product launches because of the proliferation of the iPhone in countries not named the United States and Canada.

Before deciding on a case or cover it is important to recognize what is needed. Some users just want a protective cover for the glass. A great option is invisibleSHIELD. Other clumsy users will want a case that can withstand multiple drops per week. From personal experience, I know the college and young adult crowd would benefit from a case that is quite durable. Every time I walk on the University of North Carolina’s campus I see students tossing their phones down when going to participate in an activity. When I take part in Crossfit or any fitness exercise program iPhone users will literally throw their phones on the ground or bleachers on their way to the class.

It is more common to see an iPhone that is scratched, broken or cracked than to see an iPhone that is in mint condition. This tells me that iPhone users should spend the money, up front, on a case to get the most life out of their iPhone. We all love to take pictures and share them to Facebook, Instragram, and Google+. If the back of an iPhone gets cracked there is a chance that crack could span across the lens of the camera. Taking a picture with a cracked lens is defeating the purpose of taking the picture at all.

Making the Investment Today

The Apple iPhone 5S will cost $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB with a two year contract and will be available in slate, gold, and silver. The Apple iPhone 5C will cost $99 for 16GB and $199 for 32GB with a two year contract and it will come in the colors green, white, red, blue and yellow. These smartphones are not cheap. Apple has amazing customer service but visiting an Apple Store can take hours and sometimes days. Creating a Genius Bar appointment might mean you will be without your iPhone for several days and possibly weeks. Rather than taking the chance of ruining the experience it would be wise to look at the protection options available from ZAGG. Do you plan on protecting your brand new iPhone in some way? What is your favorite ZAGG product?

I have ZAGG covers on my ASUS Transformer Pad, both Samsung GS2 smartphones and a Kindle Fire HD. These are well worth the investment.
