The Complete Guide: You Can Take Vertical Panoramic Photos With Your iPhone

In its latest iPhone keynote, Apple made a big deal out of the ability to take panoramic photos using iOS 6. Of course, the traditional panoramic photo is horizontal in nature. But what about the vertical panoramic photo. What if you want to capture a tall building or tree? The iPhone camera’s panoramic feature works for that too. Here’s how to take a vertical panoramic picture with iPhone:

After launching the camera, turn it on its side so it’s horizontal. Tap the ‘Options’ to enable panoramic mode.

Tap ‘Panorama’ and get your object in sight.

First, tap the camera button. Once you’re rolling, slowly move the camera up capturing your object.

When you have panned your camera to the top of your object, hit the camera button and you are finished.
