Tiny Wings 2 teaser makes you want to fly again [iOS game] (by @mrgnw)

Tiny Wings, a beautifully simple iOS game designed by Andreas Illiger, is getting a sequel.

Like Tiny Wings, the teaser is light-hearted and cheerful.

Tiny Wings is easily one of my favorite games. Scott Forstall even referenced to it in last year’s WWDC as one of the “incredibly addictive games” available for iOS.

The game is about a bird with Tiny Wings that tries to fly by sliding up and down hills. Tap the screen to make the bird pull in its wings and fall faster. With the right timing, you can swiftly glide through colorful levels filled with hills that are reminiscent of a Dr. Seuss book.

What’s new in Tiny Wings 2?

We don’t know.

At the end of the teaser, our bird lands next to a nest with a new egg in it. In the game, nests are levels. Each nest requires you to earn 3 achievements before you can move on to the next. The second nest could indicate is merely be an indication that we are moving on to a new version of Tiny Wings.

On the other hand, what if the new egg signifies something more. A second bird? Multi-player?

In any case, I’m excited to start flying again.  .
