Another day, another smartphone shortcut. It feels like there is no end to the functions that an iPhone can offer a user.
Instead of typing out words or full phrases that you regularly use, you can create a shortcut. This also prevents you from texting/emailing like a teenager and prevents embarrassing/funny confusion about what an abbreviation might mean.
For instance, instead of typing “on my way,” you can simply type “omw” and your iPhone will convert it to the full phrase.
How To Set Up Keyboard Phrase and Word Shortcuts:
1. Go to Settings
2. Select General
3. Select Keyboard
4. Turn “.” Shortcut On
5. Add (your) New Shortcut
