The fine folks at Verizon have setup mobile charging stations for those still without power and affected by Hurricane Sandy. If you live in the New York area and need power to charge your devices, Verizon welcomes you to come charge them, completely free of charge. They provide all the current locations of their charging stations on their website, here, but I took a few minutes to plot all the places on Google Maps so you can find the one nearest you. These locations are subject to change, and Verizon’s site will always have the latest data.
If you’re using an Android phone, you can save the map I created – “Verizon Charging Stations” – as a Map on your phone, for quick and easy reference. If you’re using an iPhone, the Map will load in Safari.
Have you seen other mobile charging stations deployed around the Northeast? Let us know so we can share them with others. Tweet me: @mbchp.
