The XBOX 360 has been competing to be the best console for about six years now. It has been ahead in the race for best console and behind at times. It has been the top competitor for the PS3 in graphics and online gameplay. In some ways, it’s been better than the PS3 and in some ways it’s been worse. The biggest reason it’s been worse is because of its red ring of death.
The red ring of death appears on your console face right before the XBOX shuts down and is completely dead, FOREVER! It’s every gamer’s nightmare and it is the hugest problem Microsoft has encountered in its Xbox systems. When the red ring appears it means the system has overheated and it can’t handle anymore. It’s pretty ridiculous that Xbox 360s would even do that. But, it’s understandable and Xbox has come up with a solution for the problem.
If you encounter the doomed red ring of death, all you need to do is send it to Microsoft and they will repair it for you for free. It usually takes about two weeks to get back to you. I’ve never encountered the problem but I’ve known plenty of people who have and to them, it’s heartbreaking. This is the biggest complaint I have against Xbox 360 but since then, Microsoft has made the systems with built-in fans to reduce chances of the consoles overheating. It’s a problem that happens but it’s really not a big deal to bring your dead Xbox back to life.
