Wunderlist 2: The best productivity app update I’ve seen in a long time

Not only is this one of the best updates to a productivity app I’ve seen in a long time, this is the best productivity app commercial I’ve seen as far as I can remember.

Every Major Platform

Launching any new product is difficult. Launching a software product on a single has it’s own difficulties. Launching a product rewrite on 5 major platforms is amazing.

The new Wunderlist app is available for Android, Windows, iOS, Mac and the web. And every app is native.

The Redesign

The service already has 3 million users, which usually means that a redesign is going to make some users angry. In fact, isn’t that a new fact of life? I’ve downloaded the updates and I have to say the new UI and slick animations are very cool. Everything you could want from a well designed app.

Should I Download It?

Some users are experiencing server issues, and are losing their lists as a consequence. It didn’t happen to me, but I may avoid updating until 6Wunderkinder can resolve the issue.

I don’t think it will take long for the dev team to get the app updated. This really is a killer update with every feature I felt was missing from Wunderlist. If you use a task management app that is closer to ‘GTD’ (Getting Things Done) than Wunderlist but miss the collaboration, this update might be what you were looking for as well.
