Can I charge my USB-C laptop from the powerstation USB-C XXL battery?
Absolutely. The powerstation USB-C XXL battery supports the USB-PD (Power Delivery) Specification, providing the increased power levels (up to 30W) necessary to fully charge a USB-C laptop such as the Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro. The powerstation USB-C XXL battery can provide up to 14 hours of extra battery for a MacBook.
What is USB-C?
USB-C (also called USB Type-C) is a new USB connector that supports higher power-current transfer and faster data transfer via a small connector type that is about the same size as a micro-USB connector. This allows super-fast charging of devices with a small, easy-to-carry cable that can also serve as a data transfer cable. The USB-C standard also features reversible plug orientation and cable direction — it doesn’t matter which end of the cable or which side of the connector you connect, the USB-C cable and ports work properly either way.
Can I recharge the powerstation USB-C XXL battery from a USB-C laptop’s USB-C port?
You can recharge the powerstation USB-C XXL battery from a USB-C laptop’s USB-C port only when the laptop is also connected to its wall charger. In this situation you must press-and-hold the powerstation battery’s status button for 2 seconds. The battery’s status LEDs will flash towards the left to indicate that the battery is receiving a charge. (The laptop will pass the charge from the wall charger to the powerstation battery.) If you do not press-and-hold the status button in this situation, the powerstation battery will not recharge and it will not charge the laptop.
Note: A computer’s USB-A port will not effectively recharge the powerstation USB-C XXL battery.
Can I charge my device while recharging the powerstation USB-C XXL battery (Priority+ pass-through charging)?
Yes. When you’re recharging your powerstation USB-C XXL battery (via its USB-C port), Priority+ pass-through charging first provides power to a device connected to its USB-A port first, before the powerstation battery starts to recharge.
Can I use the supplied USB-C to USB-A cable to charge my USB-C laptop from the powerstation USB-C XXL battery’s USB-A port?
Do not connect a USB-C laptop to the powerstation USB-C XXL battery’s USB-A port (the charging speeds available from the battery’s USB-A port are too slow to effectively charge a USB-C laptop). Instead, use the supplied USB-C to USB-C cable to charge a USB-C laptop from the battery’s USB-C port. (The USB-C to USB-A cable is supplied so you can recharge the powerstation USB-C XXL battery from a 2.4V USB-A wall charger.)
Sometimes the powerstation USB-C XXL battery’s status LEDs flash in one direction, and sometimes they flash in the other direction. What does the flashing mean?
The status LEDs are flashing towards the right: The powerstation USB-C XXL battery is charging another device. The status LEDs are flashing towards the left: The powerstation USB-C XXL battery is recharging.
Will the powerstation USB-C XXL battery charge my tablet or smartphone?
You bet. The powerstation USB-C XXL battery will charge a USB-C smartphone at super-fast speeds via the USB-C port, and it also has a USB-A output port (up to 2.4 amps) that is compatible with just about any smartphone, tablet or other USB device. For example, the powerstation USB-C XXL battery can provide up to 100 hours of extra battery for an iPhone 7, and up to 20 hours of extra battery for an iPad Air 2.
How can I tell how much charge my powerstation USB-C XXL battery has?

How many times can I recharge my powerstation USB-C XXL battery?

Partial cycles, like charging from 25% to 100%, will not count as a full cycle until all of the partials equal 100%. After 500 full cycles, the powerstation battery may provide less than 75% of its original capacity. This is normal for any product with a lithium polymer battery.
