7 Ways to Avoid Losing Your AirPods

Ever since they first appeared in the market in 2016, AirPods have been lauded for their sleek look and portability. However, they’re also notoriously easy to lose because they’re so small. Maybe one has fallen out during your run, or maybe you’ve misplaced them while they were still in their case and had no idea where to find them.
Most AirPods owners are all too aware of the surge of panic that takes over when one or both go missing. Don’t worry, ZAGG is here to help with tips so you don’t lose your AirPods!
1. Keep Them in a Case

This may seem like an obvious tip for how to not lose your AirPods, but it’s probably the best thing you can do to keep your AirPods in a spot where you can find them. Don’t leave them sitting on a table or desk, and don’t hold onto them in your pocket. If you’re not using your AirPods, put them back in their case. A case can help differentiate your AirPods from your coworkers' AirPods in case you do leave them on the conference table. Make them uniquely yours with a case.
AirPods left out of their case are much more likely to get lost. Plus, their battery will drain faster, making it even harder for you to track them! It may also help to have a designated spot where you always keep your case.

All you’re going to need is some durable, waterproof tape and a hole punch or scissors for this technique on how to not lose AirPods:

- Stick one piece of tape at the top of the speaker of the AirPod and another at the bottom, close to where they’re put in your ears. You may need to adjust the placement based on your ear shape or add more tape for a more secure fit.
- Wait for 30 to 60 seconds to make sure the tape sticks to each AirPod speaker
- Place them in your ears and move around to test the fit, and you’re done!
